Conformance target

The site is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.

That is a target, not a certified result. The site has been self-assessed against the standard during development. It has not been audited by a third party, and it has not been tested by people who use assistive technology daily. Conformance is therefore described as partial, and known gaps are documented below rather than omitted.

What has been implemented

  • Semantic HTML with a single first-level heading per page and no skipped heading levels
  • A skip link to the main content on every page
  • Keyboard access to every interactive element, with a visible focus indicator
  • Navigation marked as a landmark, with the current page identified programmatically
  • A mobile menu button that exposes its expanded state and closes on Escape
  • Text alternatives on images; diagrams and charts carry a title and a description
  • Form fields with persistent visible labels rather than placeholder-only labeling
  • Data tables with captions describing their contents
  • Body text meeting or exceeding a 4.5:1 contrast ratio against its background
  • Motion and scroll animation disabled when the operating system requests reduced motion
  • Layout that reflows without horizontal scrolling down to a 320-pixel viewport
  • Content that remains readable and functional with JavaScript disabled

Known limitations

  • No third-party audit. Conformance is self-assessed.
  • No assistive technology user testing. The site has not been evaluated by people who rely on screen readers or other assistive technology in daily use.
  • Third-party widget. Pages with forms include Cloudflare Turnstile for bot prevention. Its accessibility is determined by Cloudflare, not by Praeven.
  • Video. Recorded demonstrations are planned. Captions and a transcript will be provided when video is published. No video is currently on the site.
  • Documents. Any PDF or office documents offered in future have not yet been assessed.

Feedback

If you encounter a barrier on this site, or need information from it in a different format, email info@praevensecurity.com with the address of the page and a description of the problem.

We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within two business days, and to describe a remedy or a timeline within ten business days. Where a fix is not practical, the information will be provided by another means.

How this was assessed

Self-assessment during development, using manual keyboard testing, inspection of the rendered markup and heading structure, and measurement of text and interface colors against WCAG 2.2 contrast thresholds. Automated axe-core checks supplement the development review. These checks do not establish full conformance or replace testing with people who use assistive technology. No third-party audit forms part of this statement.
