Purchase, Refund & License Terms

These terms govern purchases of Praeven Security policy products through praevensecurity.com. They supplement the website Terms of Use and apply to the organization identified by the purchaser.

1. Purchaser and acceptance

“Praeven” means Praeven Security LLC, a Washington limited liability company. “Customer” means the person or organization purchasing a product. A person purchasing for an organization represents that they have authority to accept these terms for that organization.

The version identified above applies when the Customer accepts it during checkout. Later changes do not replace the accepted version for an existing order unless Praeven and the Customer agree otherwise in writing. Sandbox transactions are tests only: no money moves, no commercial license is granted, and no paid engagement is created.

2. Security Policy Starter Kit

The Security Policy Starter Kit includes the documents listed on its product page in editable DOCX and review-ready PDF formats. Access is provided after confirmed payment through a private link that expires seven days after purchase. A verified purchaser may request a replacement link if the original link expires.

2.1 Internal-use license

After confirmed payment, Praeven grants the Customer a nonexclusive, nontransferable license to edit, brand, reproduce, and use the delivered documents for the Customer’s internal business operations. The Customer may share them with its personnel and with attorneys, human-resources advisers, managed service providers, and other contractors assisting that Customer with review or implementation.

The Customer may not resell, sublicense, publish, or distribute the templates to an unrelated organization; use them to create a competing template product or service; or represent Praeven’s underlying material as the Customer’s original template library. Each affiliate or separate client requires its own license unless Praeven agrees otherwise in writing.

Praeven retains ownership of its underlying templates, structure, guidance, and methods. The Customer retains ownership of information, branding, and original material it adds. The purchase includes the version delivered at checkout. Future editions, tailoring, legal review, and implementation are separate unless the product page expressly says otherwise.

2.2 Starter Kit refunds

The Customer may request a refund within 14 calendar days after purchase if Praeven has no record of a successful bundle download. A successful download makes the Starter Kit purchase final, except where the delivered files are inaccessible, corrupted, or materially incomplete and Praeven cannot repair or replace them within a reasonable time.

Praeven will also correct duplicate charges and will honor any refund or cancellation right required by applicable law. Suspected unauthorized charges should be reported promptly to Praeven and to the payment provider or card issuer. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method, and access to the product is revoked. Financial-institution processing times may vary.

3. Praeven-Reviewed Policy Kit

The Praeven-Reviewed Policy Kit includes the complete Starter Kit, organization intake and review of the five policy templates identified on the product page, one consolidated revision round, and an implementation handoff checklist.

3.1 Starting and completing the work

Payment reserves the service. Work begins when Praeven has received and accepted a complete intake and sends the Customer written confirmation that review has started. Praeven targets delivery of the first tailored draft within seven business days after that confirmation. The delivery date is an estimate and may change if the intake is incomplete, the requested scope changes, or circumstances outside Praeven’s reasonable control cause delay.

The Customer must submit its single consolidated revision request within ten business days after first-draft delivery. Additional policies, meetings, implementation work, extensive rewrites, or further revision rounds require a separate written quote and Customer approval.

3.2 Reviewed Kit cancellation and refunds

The Customer may cancel for a full refund before Praeven confirms that review has started. After work begins, Praeven will refund any unearned portion of the purchase price after accounting for work already performed. If Praeven cannot perform the purchased service, it will refund the undelivered portion.

Praeven may pause the schedule while waiting for Customer information or decisions. If the Customer does not respond for 30 calendar days, Praeven may close the engagement and deliver any completed work. Earned fees remain payable.

4. Customer responsibilities

The Customer is responsible for supplying accurate information, designating a person authorized to make policy decisions, reviewing the drafts, approving final language, communicating adopted policies to its workforce, and implementing the controls the policies describe. The Customer must obtain legal, employment, privacy, insurance, regulatory, or other professional review appropriate to its organization.

Do not submit passwords, authentication secrets, payment-card data, regulated records, active incident evidence, or detailed network diagrams through the standard intake form. Contact Praeven before sharing information that requires a protected transfer method.

5. Nature of the products

The templates and review service provide a practical security-policy starting point. They are not legal advice, an audit, a certification, or a guarantee of compliance, insurance coverage, or prevention of a security incident. Laws, contracts, threats, and business operations change, and the Customer is responsible for keeping its adopted policies current.

6. Payment, delivery, and records

Stripe processes checkout and payment information. Praeven does not receive the full payment-card number. Praeven may retain order identifiers, purchaser email, product, price, payment status, accepted terms version, acceptance time, and delivery or download status as transaction and support records. Personal information is handled under the Privacy Policy.

Electronic delivery to the email address used at checkout satisfies Praeven’s delivery obligation. The Customer is responsible for providing a working address, checking filtered mail, downloading the product before the link expires, and securely retaining its copy.

7. Warranty and liability

Praeven will perform the reviewed service with reasonable care. Except for that commitment and any right that cannot lawfully be excluded, the products are provided as is and Praeven disclaims implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Praeven is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, business opportunity, goodwill, or data arising from a purchased product. Praeven’s total liability relating to an order will not exceed the amount the Customer paid for that order. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Washington.

9. Refund requests and contact

To request a refund, replacement download link, or purchase support, email info@praevensecurity.com from the address used at checkout and include the order email, product, purchase date, and a brief description of the request. Do not email payment-card numbers or sensitive security information.
